- Noil Stripes
- NOIL STRIPESCloths made from noil yarns (silk or worsted). Two beams are generally used, one for the ground ends dented 4 in a dent of dyed cotton, the other for the thicker noil yarn dented 2 in a dent. The noil yarn is dyed in bright colours to form stripes. The weft is usually black-dyed cotton, and the ground warp also black-dyed cotton. Many of these cloths are shipped to the West Coast of Africa.
